How We Started?
Dr Gehlot and Dr Takulla-Khalil have known each other for over 20 years- when they first initiated their dental career in India as classmates. Their friendship continued as they moved to the United States, and they would often have casual conversations over dinner about values in life and how they could apply these to creating a Medford cosmetic dentist firm that serves patients with great smiles. This motivated them to start “Smiles Forever”, with a primary focus on providing High End General and Cosmetic Dentistry in A Stress Free Environment.
ABOUT US:
NIDHI GEHLOT DMD, FAGD, BDS
Dr. Gehlot graduated in 2009 from one of the top Universities in the United States- Tufts University School of dental medicine, through their advanced Standing program. During her dental education at Tufts, she was on Dean’s Honor Roll for her outstanding performance in National Dental Boards. At Tufts, she actively participated in community based programs offering dental care to underprivileged.
Prior to joining Tufts, she had also completed 5 years of extensive dental training in India and received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr Gehlot has been awarded the prestigious FAGD (Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry). Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. This designation is awarded only after successfully completing 500 hours of continuing education courses and taking a rigorous exam. This designation is a testament to her commitment to continuing education and best practices in dentistry.
Dr Gehlot is a strong advocate of investing in quality dental continuing education courses, as a Medford cosmetic dentist, to stay updated on latest advancements in dentistry.
She attends numerous courses each year, offered by world renowned Dentists and is currently pursuing evidence based dentistry focused, Kois Curriculums in Seattle, for complex full mouth construction cases.
Dr Gehlot is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and attends AACD conference every year to interact and learn from like minded, world renowned cosmetic dentists, providing premium cosmetic dentistry to patients. Currently she is on path to obtain a Fellowship at prestigious AACD.
Dr. Gehlot is an Aff. Associate Fellow of prestigious AAID (American academy of implant dentistry). She has received extensive training focused on both surgical and restorative aspects of Dental Implants as a Medford cosmetic dentist.

Dr Gehlot and her Husband have 2 beautiful kids (a girl and a boy). Dr Gehlot has always been passionate about anything artistic- be it painting, interior designing or personal styling. Some of her design elements can be witnessed throughout our office.
When not doing dentistry, she is busy driving her kids to classes, traveling or testing her culinary skills in the kitchen.
Fun Fact – Dr Gehlot is a globetrotter, and her bucket list contains visiting 50 countries by 50.
The Medford cosmetic dentist relationship and friendship that Dr Gehlot and Dr Takulla-Khalil share has now carried on to their kids and they are a complete riot when together!
NISREEN TAKULLA-KHALIL, DDS, BDS
Dr. Takulla-Khalil was born and raised in Bahrain, where she lived till high school. She then moved to India and started her dental career at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital in Pune. This was a 5 year training program.
Dr Takulla-Khalil practiced dentistry for a few years in India prior to moving to the United States. She was admitted in a competitive 3 year Advanced Standing Program at the New York College of Dentistry (NYUCD), New York from where she graduated in 2011.
During her training at the New York College of Dentistry, she had the unique opportunity to serve patients with Special Needs by being one of the few selected students for a ‘Special Patient Care’ Honors Program. She was also recognized for her academic achievements by Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
After graduating from NYUCD, Dr Takulla-Khalil moved to Boston to complete a one-year Oral Surgery residency at Boston Medical Center and Boston University Dental School.
Dr. Takulla-Khalil is a member of the Spear Study Club and attends meetings regularly throughout the year where she interacts with other general dentists and specialist. She continually augments her knowledge and clinical skills through various hands-on and online courses, meetings, conferences as well as attends yearly workshops at one of leading private dental academies- the Spear Academy in Arizona.
Dr. Takulla-Khalil belongs to the Academy of General Dentistry, where she is currently pursuing a fellowship. Her other memberships include the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, North Shore Dental Society.
Dr Takulla-Khalil believes that dental health is an essential, integral part of overall health and has made it her goal to provide the best dental care possible in a comfortable and compassionate environment.
Dr. Takulla-Khalil and her husband have an energetic dinosaur-obsessed seven-year-old son. Besides being a Medford cosmetic dentist, she is passionate about baking macarons (follow her on Instagram @bakesbynis). She enjoys reading, hiking and traveling in her free time. There are several countries she would love to visit, so if you have suggestions or recommendations , do let her know!
Dr Takulla-Khalil is also an avid runner.
Fun Fact- she has completed several half marathons, the Washington and Chicago Marathon and her bucket list involves running the most prestigious Medford Marathon one day.
